The Smile House Model was created with the aim of guaranteeing complete, continuous and multidisciplinary healthcare for people affected by craniomaxillofacial malformations.

Our strength lies in our ability to combine the clinical dimension with the organisational and social one, building an integrated network that connects Hospitals, Professionals, Institutions, Research Bodies and Universities. The aim is to make every service interconnected, offering a personalised care pathway close to the patient, wherever they may be.

An integrated model with the National Health System

To achieve this vision, over time we have built a structured model of integration with the National Health System and its regional structures. This approach allows us to reduce fragmentation of care, foster communication between professionals and actively counter medical migration.

Our collaboration with health institutions is not merely formal, but is based on a rigorous operational process that includes:

  • sharing long-term strategic objectives;
  • defining clear legal and operational frameworks through specific agreements and protocols;
  • formalising the use of hospital spaces and resources;
  • adopting regulations and work programmes with defined timelines and progress stages.

Our network of collaborations

Since 2008, we have built strong ties with the leading players in healthcare and research, both in Italy and abroad, to ensure compliance with international clinical protocols and constant scientific updating.

Our partnerships include:

  • National institutions: we work actively with the Ministry of Health, AGENAS (National Agency for Regional Health Services) and the Istituto Superiore di Sanità.
  • Local and public healthcare: we work in close synergy with ASL and Aziende Ospedaliere (local health authorities and hospital trusts) in Lazio, Veneto, Sardinia, Marche, Sicily, Tuscany and Lombardy.
  • Research and universities: we develop training and research programmes with prestigious Italian universities (including Sapienza University of Rome, Pisa, Ferrara and L’Aquila) and international ones.
  • International partners: our network extends globally through collaborations with foundations and organisations active in the field of craniofacial malformations, such as the World Craniofacial Foundation, Intercleft and CLAPP Pakistan.
