SMILE HOUSE VICENZA
The Smile House Centre in Vicenza operates within the Maxillofacial Surgery department of Ospedale San Bortolo. The centre is recognised as a regional reference centre for the diagnosis and treatment of facial malformations and is part of the European Reference Network for rare diseases (ERN).
History
The Centre was established thanks to a memorandum of understanding between the Vicenza Social and Healthcare Authority and Smile House Fondazione ETS, signed in 2018. This commitment was confirmed and renewed on 2 March 2023 by the Director General of Azienda ULSS 8 Berica, Dr Maria Giuseppina Bonavina, consolidating the centre’s role as a point of excellence in the region.

Activities
The Centre supports patients and their families throughout their entire care pathway, offering specialist consultations that begin with prenatal diagnosis and continue until treatment is complete. The aim is to ensure continuous care that puts the needs of the child and their parents first.

The Centre offers complete care through a range of integrated specialist services:
- Surgical and orthodontic activities;
- Speech therapy clinic to support language development;
- Paediatric consultations;
- ENT (otorhinolaryngology) consultations;
- Dedicated psychological support.
